How I Would Book It- Triple H's Heel Turn

The name of my website is How I Would Book It and I haven’t been doing many of those columns lately. The last one was when I wrote about how I would book Money in the Bank. That was over a month ago. When I first started my site, I was planning to write a new How I Would Book It column every week. I don’t think I will start writing them every week but I think I should write one at least once a month. If I don’t then I should start thinking of a new name for this site. So here is how I would book Triple H’s heel turn.

The three most important characters on WWE Monday Night RAW currently are Triple H, CM Punk, and John Cena. They are all faces right now. At some point, one of them will have to turn heel. It won’t be John Cena for obvious reasons. CM Punk just recently turned face so I don’t expect Punk to turn heel soon. That means Triple H is the most likely to turn heel. Triple H hasn’t been a heel for a while and Triple H is one of the greatest heels of all-time so I would love to see him turn heel again.

How will Triple H turn heel? I thought about that and I thought of something really interesting. Right now on RAW, the big storyline is Kevin Nash and the mysterious text message. If you haven’t been watching RAW lately, I’ll quickly recap what has happened since CM Punk’s WWE Championship win at Money in the Bank. After Money in the Bank, CM Punk’s contract expired and he left the WWE. Vince McMahon was about to fire John Cena for losing to Punk which allowed Punk to leave the WWE with the WWE Championship but Triple H returned and informed Vince McMahon that he was being relieved of his day-to-day duties in the WWE. Triple H told Vince that he was named the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the WWE and that Cena would not be fired. The next week, John Cena became the WWE Champion again and CM Punk returned to the WWE. We later found out in the next two weeks that CM Punk was re-signed, Punk and Cena would face each other at SummerSlam to decide the Undisputed WWE Champion, and Triple H would be the referee for that match. At SummerSlam, CM Punk won after Triple H counted the 1-2-3 while Punk was pinning Cena despite the fact that Cena’s foot was on the rope. After the match, Kevin Nash appeared in the ring, powerbombed CM Punk, and then Alberto Del Rio came to the ring to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and Del Rio became WWE Champion. Then last Monday on RAW, Kevin Nash said someone sent him a text message that told him to attack the winner of the match, but Nash didn’t reveal who sent him the text message.

Now that you know what has happened in the last month, I will explain how I would book Triple H’s heel turn. During the last few months, R-Truth has been saying that there is a conspiracy going on in the WWE. However, R-Truth has been acting so crazy that no one is really taking him seriously whenever he says that there is a conspiracy in the WWE. At the next RAW, I would have R-Truth come to the ring and say, “Triple H come to the ring! I need to talk to you.” So Triple H goes to the ring and asks R-Truth what he wants. R-Truth says, “I have finally figured it out.” R-Truth says that Triple H is the anonymous RAW GM. R-Truth points out that the RAW GM stopped sending emails right when Triple H returned. He says that one of the last things the GM did before he disappeared was name CM Punk the #1 contender to the WWE Championship. R-Truth says that Triple H knew Punk’s contract was expiring and he knew Vince McMahon would try to screw CM Punk because Vince didn’t want anyone leaving the WWE with the WWE Championship. Triple H knew that no matter what happened at Money in the Bank, he could go to the WWE Board of Directors and convince them that Vince McMahon is no longer capable of doing a good job in the WWE. R-Truth says that the only reason Triple H re-signed CM Punk is because the Board didn't want someone inexperienced like Triple H as the COO but Triple H convinced the Board into naming him the new COO by guaranteeing that he could re-sign CM Punk. R-Truth said that Triple H’s plan this whole time has been to use his job as COO to get back the WWE Championship. R-Truth said that Triple H decided to make people think his intentions were to help the WWE and then steal the WWE Championship when they least expected it. Not only did Triple H re-sign CM Punk but he also re-signed Jim Ross and "re-signed" John Morrison to prove to the WWE Superstars and the WWE Universe that he was a good Triple H. R-Truth says that the truth is that Triple H is a bad and evil man.

R-Truth says,

“You knew CM Punk would soon figure out your plans. So you wanted Kevin Nash to attack the winner which would be CM Punk. How did you know CM Punk would win? Because you made yourself referee to make sure that Punk won. You wanted Punk to win so Punk wouldn’t think your goal as COO is to screw him and he also wouldn’t suspect that it was you that wanted Nash to attack him. You wanted Punk to trust you so you ignored Cena’s foot on the rope so Punk would win. Like you said last week on RAW, if you hadn’t screwed it up, you’re not sure who would have won but you screwed it up on purpose so CM Punk would win. Now Punk knows you had an opportunity to screw him out of his championship and instead you actually helped him become the undisputed champion. The reason you had Nash attack CM Punk is because you want CM Punk to start focusing on Nash and not focus on you.”
Triple H says that none of what R-Truth has said so far is true and that R-Truth can look at Triple H’s phone and see that he did not send a text message to Kevin Nash. R-Truth says that he knows Triple H didn’t send the text message to Nash. R-Truth points out that Triple H’s wife Stephanie was at SummerSlam and Triple H told Stephanie to text Nash. R-Truth then said that Triple H was hoping Alberto Del Rio would cash in his briefcase after seeing Punk getting attacked and Del Rio did. The reason Triple H wanted to see Del Rio become champion is so John Cena could start focusing his attention on beating Del Rio for the WWE Championship. R-Truth says that with Punk focusing on Nash and Cena focusing on Del Rio, no one would suspect that Triple H is secretly planning to steal the WWE Championship. Triple H tells R-Truth that he is crazy and Triple H leaves the ring.

The next week on RAW, Triple H announces that at Night of Champions, Alberto Del Rio will face John Cena and CM Punk in a triple threat match for the WWE Championship. Triple H says that he wants to be the referee again to prove he can be a fair referee. Triple H promises that this match will not have a screwy finish. Later, CM Punk confronts Triple H and says that he is worried about Triple H being the referee for a second time. Punk says that he thinks that R-Truth is right. Triple H says that R-Truth is crazy and points out that the last time Triple H was referee, Punk won the match.

Near the end of the WWE Championship match at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View, John Cena hits Del Rio with the Attitude Adjustment but before he can pin Del Rio, Punk kicks Cena in the head and hits Cena with the GTS. Punk pins Cena and wins the WWE Championship. The announcers start saying that Triple H was a fair referee and they say that it looks like R-Truth’s crazy conspiracy theory was wrong. Triple H extends his hand to CM Punk just like he did at SummerSlam and CM Punk shakes Triple H’s hand which he did not do at SummerSlam. Immediately afterwards, Triple H kicks Punk in the gut and hits him with the Pedigree. Alberto Del Rio has already walked back to the locker room but Cena is still recovering from the GTS. Before Cena has a chance to help CM Punk, Nash comes out of nowhere and starts hitting Cena with a steel chair. Meanwhile, Triple H takes off his referee shirt, gives it to Nash, and Nash puts on the shirt. Triple H tells the timekeeper to ring the bell. The bell rings, Triple H pins CM Punk, Nash counts to three, and Triple H becomes the new WWE Champion. Stephanie McMahon runs to the ring and gives Triple H a big hug. Triple H grabs a microphone and says, “Remember all that stuff R-Truth said about a conspiracy and how I was planning to win the WWE Championship? R-Truth was 100% correct.” Then the PPV ends with Nash, Triple H, and Stephanie celebrating in the ring.

I don’t think any of that stuff will really happen but I think the WWE should finally reveal who the anonymous RAW GM was and I think it would be interesting to find out that R-Truth was actually correct when he said there is a conspiracy going on in the WWE. I hope that Triple H turns heel soon and I think this would be an interesting way to do it. That’s how I would book Triple H’s heel turn.
