Today, I'm previewing the main event match...The Rock vs. John Cena. This is a tough match to preview because these two wrestlers have never faced each other in a match. However, I will post videos of two matches that might help you know what to expect during the match.
This is not the first time a WWE Legend went more than eight years in-between WrestleMania matches. Hulk Hogan returned to WrestleMania for the first time in almost nine years at WrestleMania X8 and faced The Rock. Although The Rock was the face of the company at the time, The Rock was booed and the fans cheered Hulk Hogan.
This is also not the first time John Cena had a match in his opponent's hometown. This is not even the second time. John Cena faced CM Punk in Punk's hometown at Money in the Bank 2011 and Cena faced Edge in a TLC match at Unforgiven 2006 in Canada.

The theme of this preview is Rock and Cena matches in front of hostile crowds. I think this match could have an amazing crowd atmosphere and the crowd's involvement could make this match an instant classic.
Rock/Cena is getting so much more scrutiny than Rock/Hogan. Every aspect is getting picked apart to no end.

DeleteIt might have been more physical if one of them was heel. I just hope Cena starts getting some new material. He has over-used his "Hollywood" and "Notes on arm" lines.

DeleteThat's why I would've rather had them make this a match about respect, not insults. The match doesn't need it.
At least The Rock has more than two insults. He's got "Fruity Pebbles", "Kung Pow Bitch", "Homeless Power Ranger", "Vanilla Ice Teletubby", "Lady Parts", and I'm sure he'll invent two more before the match. Also, The Rock is keeping it kayfabe. Cena is trying to break the rules of kayfabe by talking about Rock's notes and his pec surgery, and Rock's real name. Imagine if the villains on Batman started saying Adam West instead of Batman. Or if the Green Goblin called Spiderman "Tobey".
DeleteHe's not keeping it in kayfabe. He went after Cena's wife and mother. I don't have a problem with non-kayfabe though. It seems more real to me.
DeleteCena introduced his wife to the world during the Boston RAW so according to the rules of kayfabe, that means she exists. John Cena's mother hasn't been mentioned to the WWE Universe (I don't think) but everyone has a mother so it should be assumed that Cena came out of a woman's vagina unless John Cena's dad has lady parts.
