WWE Smackdown Review (December 16, 2011)
WWE Friday Night Smackdown was at the RBC Center in Raleigh, North Carolina this week.
Cody Rhodes vs. Daniel Bryan
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Rating: **3/4 Another good Rhodes-Bryan match but just like last week, I wanted to see more. They need to have a 10+ minute Pay Per View match in the near future.
Alicia Fox vs. Natalya
Winner: Alicia Fox
Rating: *3/4 Good upset win for Fox but the match was mediocre.
The Usos vs. Epico and Primo
Winner: Epico and Primo
Rating: **1/2 These are two good tag teams. This match was interesting but there wasn't enough exciting spots.
Big Show vs. Jack Swagger
Winner: Big Show
Rating: **1/4 I liked seeing Swagger get in a lot of offense against the Big Show. The match lasted longer than I thought it would.
Ted DiBiase vs. Heath Slater
Winner: Ted DiBiase
Rating: **1/2 This match also happened on November 25. I don't like seeing a rematch when the first match was bad. This match was a little bit better than the first match. I would love to see DiBiase face tougher opponents and get an opportunity to cut some promos. I like DiBiase but seeing him defeat jobbers and get no mic time each week is boring.
Sheamus vs. Jinder Mahal
Winner: Sheamus
Rating: ** I thought this was a boring match. Sheamus was good but I didn't like Jinder in this match. In my opinion, both wrestlers need to do a good job for a match to be fun to watch.
Randy Orton and Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett
Winners: Randy Orton and Zack Ryder
Rating: *** All four of these wrestlers did a great job in this match. It wasn't a great match but I enjoyed the effort.
Best Match: Randy Orton and Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett
When you put four of your best wrestlers in one match, the match is going to be entertaining. All four of these wrestlers are very talented in the ring and they had a good match.
Worst Match: Alicia Fox vs. Natalya
The divas are getting better but their matches are still mediocre. The lack of time they are getting could be stopping them for putting together good matches.
Next week is a holiday weekend so I will be posting Smackdown results only with no reviews.
